New muzzle attachment built for recoil control
The Compensator is a new muzzle attachment for controlling recoil, similar to the Flash Compensator but without hiding your muzzle flash.
A new muzzle attachment pitched at recoil control, minus the Flash Compensator's flash hiding.
- EA's Season 3 roadmap lists the Compensator as one of two new attachments for the season's final phase, High-Value Target, on June 30. It slots in with the other muzzle attachments, and EA describes it as similar to the Flash Compensator from Season 2 Hunter / Prey, albeit without that attachment's flash hiding feature. EA's framing for the pair is gaining better control of recoil or slipping under the sound barrier. No recoil figures were published, and the roadmap does not list which weapons can take it.
TipEA names exactly one difference from the Season 2 Flash Compensator, the missing flash hiding, and publishes no figures for either, so nothing on record says this controls recoil better than the attachment you may already own. It competes for your muzzle slot, so treat it as a sidegrade to test rather than an upgrade, and stay on the Flash Compensator if hiding your own muzzle flash matters to you.
