Two ways to add it
Add it to a server so everyone there can use it and get patch posts, or add it to your own account and use it anywhere.
To a server
For server owners and anyone with Manage Server.
- Press Add to your server.
- Pick the server from the list and press Continue.
- Leave the three permissions ticked and press Authorize.
- Type / in any channel and the commands are there.
It asks for View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links, so it can post new patches as a card with a picture. Nothing else: it cannot read your chat, ping anyone or change your server.
To your account
For anyone. No server needed.
- Press Add to your account.
- Press Authorize.
- Use the commands in any server, in your DMs and in group chats, even where the bot was never added.
Automatic patch posts need the bot added to a server. On your account you get the commands.
Talking to it
Type / in a message box, pick a command, fill in the boxes Discord shows you and press Enter. Here is everything it answers.
/catchup
The biggest changes since you last played. Say it the way you would say it out loud: "3 months ago", "Season 29", "March", "launch".
/patch

/apex/battlefield/marvel-rivals/megabonk/zomboid
What changed for one legend, hero, gun, vehicle or item in its last patch, with a link to its whole history.
/find

/tierlist

/follow
Get every new patch of a game as a DM. You get a confirmation and the latest patch straight away, then each new patch as soon as it is live. Press "Stop these DMs" under any of them, or type /unfollow. /following lists what you follow.
/help or /patchnoter
The list of commands, inside Discord. Only you see the answer. If other bots also have a /help, type /patchnoter, or press Help under any of the bot's messages.
Names and seasons fill in as you type. Start typing "hel" or "season" and pick from the list. If a name could mean several things, the bot asks which one you meant.
New patches, posted for you

Good to know
Where do the answers come from?
The same place as this site: each game's official patch notes, with the one-line summaries and Top 5 you see on Patchnoter.
Will it ping my server?
No. It never mentions anyone, a role or @everyone.
Does it read our messages?
No. It only sees the commands you send it.
A post stopped arriving.
Check the bot can still see the channel and send messages there. After a few failed posts it pauses that channel until you run /subscribe again.
Stuck, or want a game added?
Ask in our Discord. That is also where to tell us if an answer reads wrong.
