    New Recon gadget: Handheld Jammer

The Handheld Jammer is a new Recon gadget that briefly disrupts nearby smart and electronic devices, and you can throw it, place it in an area or carry it around with you.

A Recon gadget that disrupts nearby smart or electronic devices for a short period.

    • Added in Blastpoint (Jun 9, 2026). EA describes the Handheld Jammer as a Recon Gadget that disrupts nearby smart/electronic devices for a short period of time. Once activated it can either be thrown or placed in an area to provide localized malfunctions, or carried around to turn a Recon soldier into a mobile nuisance. It is free functional content at Tier 4 of the Explosive Charge Bonus Path, which needs 50 Bonus Path Points. EA published no range, duration or cooldown figures for it.

TipYou get to choose how it is used: thrown or planted, it is an area denial tool for a push; carried, it follows you and jams whatever you walk past. EA published no range or duration, so treat any guide quoting one as guesswork.
