Tactical Obliteration: an 8v8 squad-play variant
Tactical Obliteration is a competitive 8v8 version of Obliteration built around squad play, where your team is just your squad and one other.
A competitive 8v8 take on Obliteration where you have only one other squad to rely on.
- Season 3's final phase adds Tactical Obliteration, which EA describes as taking the classic Obliteration mode and emphasising individual squad play through an 8v8 grudge match. EA calls it a competitive, high stakes experience meant for squads who mastered coordinated objective play, with only one other squad to rely on. This is not the same item as Obliteration's earlier Season 3 return: it is the tactical 8v8 variant of it. EA's roadmap post does not publish the mode's rules, map list or scoring.
TipIf you queued Obliteration when it came back earlier in Season 3, do not expect the same round here: EA pitches this one at squads who already mastered coordinated objective play, and with only one other squad on your side a failed push has no wider team behind it.
