New ADS dispersion crosshair shows weapon bloom

The new ADS Dispersion Crosshair is an optional reticle that grows as your shots spread while aiming, on by default only in the Firing Range but available in multiplayer too.

An optional reticle that grows while you hold the trigger in aim down sights, showing how inaccurate your weapon has become.

    • EA has added an option called ADS Dispersion Crosshair, an indicator representing the weapon's current dispersion (also called bloom or spread) while aiming down sights. Shooting with an automatic weapon makes the shape grow, communicating that the weapon is becoming inaccurate, and moving also shows how accuracy is affected. It lives under HUD/CROSSHAIR and is enabled by default in the Firing Range only, but it can be turned fully off or enabled in multiplayer experiences. It comes with its own opacity slider and colour picker.
    • EA states the intention is to help players understand how dispersion works and improve their shooting technique with that mechanic in mind.

TipThe Firing Range is the one place it is already on, so hold a long automatic burst there and then repeat it while moving to see how far the shape opens up in each case. If you want it in a real match you have to enable it yourself under HUD/CROSSHAIR, where its own opacity slider and colour picker let you tune how visible the indicator is.
