Anti-air now scores, and countermeasures work more reliably
You now earn score for forcing enemy aircraft to use countermeasures and missiles react faster to flares, and the RCB-90 Patrol Boat's guided missile can now be diverted by flares once it is self-guiding.
Forcing a pilot to burn flares now pays out, and missiles respond to those flares more consistently.
- A new score event has been added for forcing enemy aircraft to deploy countermeasures, which EA says gives clearer feedback and rewards effective use of anti-aircraft gadgets. Missiles now react more quickly to countermeasures deployed by their target, described by EA as improving the consistency of countermeasure effectiveness. Separately, the RCB-90 Patrol Boat's Aim-Guided Missile can now correctly be diverted by flares once it enters its self-guidance phase. EA published no figures for any of these changes.
TipKeep firing launchers at aircraft you cannot realistically kill, since forcing the flares now scores on its own. In an RCB-90, wait until a target has burned its countermeasures before committing the Aim-Guided Missile, because flares can now divert it during self-guidance.
