Longbow changes in Apex Legends

The Longbow deals more damage when it hits arms and legs.

Limb damage 0.7 → 0.8

TipLimb hits cost you less, so taking the shot on a partially exposed target is worth it rather than waiting for the full body.

The Longbow does less damage on limb shots; base damage stays the same.

TipBase damage is unchanged, so the cut only bites when a shot catches an arm or a leg. Against a target peeking from cover, hold for centre mass or the head instead of taking the limb chip.

The Longbow deals more damage on headshots.

Headshot multiplier 2.15 → 2.25

The Longbow loses the Skullpiercer and barrel stabilizer but gets much less recoil, less bullet drop and faster aiming in and out.

• Barrel Stabilizer attachment removed
• Base recoil significantly improved
• Projectile gravity reduced
• ADS in and out time reduced

TipSkip the Barrel Stabilizer hunt for this one and aim flatter on long shots, since the projectile drops less. The quicker ADS in and out favours peeking and re-scoping over sitting in the sight.

The Longbow DMR fires larger projectiles, so its shots are a little easier to land.
